Our Story
About Fernweh Fly Co
This all began with a gal who wanted a fly rod in 2022. Carrie, co-founder of Fernweh Fly Co, learned how to fly fish primarily on a dock at Lake Charles in northeast Arkansas. Josh, fly fishing guide and general manager, met Carrie on the river and showed her many of the techniques and methods that gave her the foundation to learn more on her own. Ross, co-founder, joined in the fly fishing journey not long after that.

Since 2023, the trio has been on many fly fishing trips in north Arkansas, the Ouachita mountains, and across the US.

Fly fishing is more than just fishing. It's about the community, the laughs, the memories and so much more. Many of the stories shared among the founders and general manager of Fernweh Fly Co do not include big fish, instead they include long drives, funny falls, and days full of small catches.
