Our Story
About Fernweh Fly Co
It started in 2022 with a fly rod and a desire to learn. Carrie, co-founder of Fernweh Fly Co, began fly fishing on a dock at Lake Charles in northeast Arkansas. Along the way, she met Josh, now our guide and general manager, and Ross joined the journey soon after.
Since then, fly fishing has taken us across Arkansas and beyond, from northern Arkansas rivers to the Ouachita Mountains, and across the country.
But the best fishing stories aren't always about the biggest fish. They're about long drives, missed casts, funny falls, new places, good friends, and days on the water you don't want to end.
That's what Fernweh Fly Co is about. we want to help more people get on the water, learn something new, and come home with stories of their own.
